Winners of the IV Tango Dance World Championship, Buenos Aires, Argentina

After 10 days of tango mania in Buenos Aires, the IV Campeonato Mundial de Baile de Tango has seen over 100,000 visitors pass its doors, according to an article by the Argentine newspaper Clarin.

The final of the Tango Stage category was won by the Colombian couple Diana Patricia Giraldo Rivera and Carlos Alberto Angel Paredes. On Saturday, the final of the Tango Salon category saw Fabián Peralta and Natacha Poberaj as winners, from Rosario and Buenos Aires respectively. Interesting note: Natacha is 6 months pregnant at the moment!

The IV Tango Dance World Championship, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Tango dance world championship comprises two categories,Tango Salon and Stage Tango.

The Salon Tango category will consist of three stages: the Qualifying Rounds, the Semifinals and the Finals. During each one of these stages, participants will be evaluated by a Jury.

The Stage Tango for Couples category will comprise three stages: the Qualifying Rounds, the Semifinals and the Finals. The couples will appear one at a time, dancing to a song or a musical collage of their choice.

The members of the Jury for the IV Tango Dance World Championship will be appointed by the organizers of this competition jointly with the Asociación de Maestros, Bailarines y Coreógrafos de Tango Argentino (AMBCTA).
